Winner eprivateclient 2022 Excellence Award

IAM Advisory has been awarded Best Investment Consulting Firm of the Year at the 2022 eprivateclient Excellence Awards last week, one of the private client industry’s most prestigious awards.

The firm was successful against a number of candidates from a range of UK, European and Channel Island organisations.

The eprivateclient Excellence Awards recognise outstanding achievements over the past year in ten categories, including investment advisory, fiduciary, legal, and tax.

IAM has been recognised for its successful growth with private clients and for its implementation of its Sustainable Investment Framework for clients including the States of Guernsey.

Managing Director, Michael Strachan represented IAM Advisory at the Awards presentation last week in London alongside industry finalists.

He said: “I am so proud of our hardworking investment advisory team in fund research, analytics, and ESG advisory, contributing to our broad based service. We work closely together to consistently deliver a top tier client service across a broad client base ranging from Ultra High Net Worth private clients through to Sovereign Wealth and locally, with unique schemes working with the government, to make a real difference to the island’s finance sector and economy.

“ This latest award for excellence is a further recognition from our peers in other jurisdictions of our innovative approach, the high standards we adhere to and it is a particularly happy coincidence that this happens in our 35th year.”

The win adds to a series of awards that IAM has won in the past 12 months, including Citywealth ESG Consultant of the Year finalist, and thewealthnet Top Investment Consultants award, where IAM has been a winner for 10 consecutive years.

IAM’s advisory work also included conceiving and implementing a local fund manager scheme where some of the investments made by the States of Guernsey are made locally, providing significant economic enablers for the island and strengthening the local fund manager pool.

Mr Strachan concluded: “We are always delighted to win this kind of award, but we are also very proud of the jurisdiction, as winning such accolades is also a seal of approval for the Guernsey’s finance industry – it’s further proof that local firms are held in high regard by the UK and beyond.”
