Set Sail Trust Pilot Cutter 2021 launch

IAM Advisory is a proud trustee of the Set Sail Trust, devoted to helping others in the local community who wouldn’t ordinarily get access to a range of nautical activities and are delighted that the Pilot Cutters will be back.

We have been overwhelmed with the amazing feedback from local teachers telling us about the experience of kids who have never been on a boat before, and how much confidence they gain from not just being on the boat, but manning the sails and ropes guided by the skilled and patient Bristol Pilot Cutter team. The children are equally enthusiastic.

We came up with the idea to bring three Bristol Pilot Cutters over to Guernsey for the first time in 2011 not really sure what local school children would make of going out on an old-fashioned sail boat.

We were sad for the kids that the Pilot Cutters were unable to visit in 2020 because of Covid but the good news is they are scheduled to come back next June.
